Today we harvested 2 tomatoes off of 2 different plants. One is a cherry tomato off of the bushy plant. The other is a normal tomato. The plan is to eat them as is, no point is spoiling that first yummy sample by hiding it amongst a bunch of lettuce (which really needs harvesting) or basil leaves (ditto) or whatever.
The first pea flower is just budding in this bed.
The cucumber (left) and zucchini (lower left) are flowering and looking really healthy.
In the bed I planted on the 21st of December (on the black-out day of a full moon) the first pea sprout is pushing up through the soil. The packet says 7-10 days.
All 4 rocket types are sprouting as is the spinach. No sign of the spring onions, lettuce or tarragon yet.
