Garden Necessity

harvest basketFor a while now, harvest time has been lacking a certain je ne sais quoi. What’s been missing is a receptacle worthy of my plants. I’ve been cutting spinach, basil and whatever else I wanted and dropping my harvest into a plastic bowl. Which never felt especially earth-mother-gardeny to me. So today I rectified that shortcoming and purchased this lovely basket.

2nd basket

Then my neighbours saw me carrying my basket from the shops and asked me about it. When I told them the purpose, Paul ran inside and came out with another basket they no longer use. So I’ve gone from 0 garden baskets to 2 in one day. Why oh why is moderation so hard to achieve?

Regardless, I can’t wait until I’m in need of my next fresh produce!

  1. Nice! Very nice!

And moderation or excess nothing. The other basket is for me to carry when I come and visit and we go out into your garden. ;-P
