Fruit Flowers

I’ve got a few plants that produce fruit. Some of them are in bloom, some have already spent their flowers and some are stubbornly refusing to even enter the race. I never cease to be amazed at how there is absolutely zero correlation between the size, colour or shape of the flower and the edible result. Okay, maybe a blueberry flower foretells its future, but generally it’s anybody’s guess. Seriously, an olive blossom about the same size as an avocado flower – is this evolution playing with my mind?

Here are some of the flowers that I’ve photographed over the past few days. The fruits will be a while in coming.

Orange Flowers

Lemon Flowers

Mandarin Flowers

Blueberry Flowers

Passion fruit Flower

Cherry Flowers

Avocado Flowers
