Lunch bounty

gozleme and ginger beer

Here’s today’s lunch made up mainly of leftover bits and pieces. All very tasty.

The gozleme was created from the tail end of some homemade dough that I’d made ages ago for something else where I froze part of the batch. Inside I put a mix of things from the garden and from the shops:
From the garden: silverbeet, chives, peppermint, rocket
From the shops: onions, feta cheese

The tomatoes I served with it were some that I picked this morning because a bird clearly got to them. Each had part of it bitten off. In theory it could have been a possum but in my experience, possums don’t leave any for me when they’re done.

The ginger beer is homemade, but not yet from the garden. My ginger is looking pretty good, 9 different plants sprouting now (I think) but they won’t be ready for harvest for months (patience!).

All-in-all I have no complaints about my meal. But I think my presentation could improve. I need sprigs of something (parsley? basil?) on the side to liven it up. Next time.
